Three Phase Huller
A three phase huller is a
machine in which removes hulls from various types of grains. It is known
as a heavy duty machine for preparation of edible grains such as rice,
wheat, pulses, etc. The three phase huller normally consists of a
grain grinder, rubber disk and a steel washer.
The grains are pressed through the
three phase huller between the rubber disk and a rotating disk and
then they are rolled out. The soft rubber disks on the
three phase huller allow removal of
the hulls with very little damage to the grains. Natural rubber is used
versus synthetic rubber as it has a better abrasion resistance on the
three phase huller.
The blade on the three phase
huller regulates the severity of the process and is usually
adjustable to suit various milling conditions of the grains involved.
The three phase huller also consists of a large steel drum that
has attached leather thongs for polishing the various grains. Three
phase hullers can be mounted on high or low stands or can be one large
component. They were designed to work with three phase power.
You can obtain three phase power from
a phase converter to operate the three phase huller. The three
phase rotary converter uses it's own motor to generate the third, high
leg of power that is needed for a continuous, reliable source of three
phase power. It then passes on the other two legs of power which is
provided by your single phase power source. To make sure that you are
getting true three phase power, the phase converter must have a 3-phase
rotary generator with power factor correction. When properly installed,
the true three phase converter should operate the three phase huller
for 35 years or longer with little of no maintenance needed.
