Three Phase Panel Saw

A three phase panel saw is any type of sawing apparatus that will
cut various sheets in parts that are sized. The three phase panel saw
is widely used in industrial cabinet shops to cut materials into cabinet
components. The three phase panel saw is also used in the sign
industry, construction industry and the furniture industry. Lumber yards
often use the three phase panel saw as well to keep various
different sizes of materials available to their customers.
There are two types of three phase
panel saws, the vertical three phase panel saw and the horizontal
three phase panel saw. The vertical
three phase panel saw is perfect
for cutting sheet goods when you are using limited space. They usually
can accommodate sheets of materials of up to 5 feet tall or more. The
carriage assembly on the vertical three phase panel saw has a
guide roller assembly that allows it to glide along stainless steel
rails. The motor will rotate in the carriage which allows the three
phase panel saw to perform rip cuts. The rollers that are outside of the
support bracket on the vertical three phase panel saw allow for a
smooth feeding of the material and assures a perfect 90 degree cut. They
usually come equipped with a dust collection system.
The horizontal three phase panel
saw has a carriage assembly that travels on precision ball bearings.
These are guided by support rods. There are heavy wall extrusions on the
horizontal three phase panel saw that are on the slider and the
support beam. These eliminate distortion and twist of the materials
being worked on. The horizontal three phase panel saw has crosscut
tables and cross balances to also prevent distortion. The horizontal
three phase panel saw is usually used for much larger jobs and will
have a frame that is around 10 feet wide and has a cutting capacity of
around 8 foot wide sheets.
It
is a good idea to use true three phase power when you operate a three
phase panel saw. If you are only using single phase power,
than the three phase panel saw is definitely going to burnout or
become extremely damaged as it was designed to be operated with three
phase power. To find an alternative to the single phase power that you
have installed already, a phase converter is a good choice. A phase
converter will merely convert the single phase power into true three
phase power. A phase converter is a much more economical solution to
three phase power than contacting your utility company in install it.
They have been know to charge anywhere from $50,000 per mile to have it
installed.
