Three Phase Press

A three phase press is a machine that can be used to change the
shape of a variety of different metals. Not only is the visible shape
changed when using a three phase press, but the internal
structure of the workpiece is changed as well.
There are several different types of
three phase presses available on the market today. One type of three
phase press has a set of rollers in which the metal is fed into the
rollers. These rollers turn to pull the workpiece through and the metal
becomes either thinner or wider when it is fed through the rollers.
There is another type of
three phase press that has a set of
plates that has a relief or a depth based design in them. In this type
of three phase press, the metal is placed between the plates
which will in turn press the metal into the desired shape. Another type
of three phase press is the punch press. This type is used for
punching holes in materials. A three phase press can also be
designed to do a majority of all these functions in one three phase
press. This is what we call progressive stamping.
Manufacturers use this method to do punching, coining, bending and
several other ways to change the workpiece and it is all done with an
automatic feeding system. What happens here, is the metal goes through
the feeding system and it takes it through all the various stations
until the workpiece is completed.
The three phase press is used
widely around the world for shaping all kinds of metals into various
shapes. They can be used to make backplates for computers cases,
brackets, and even a toaster's metal case is designed by using a
three phase press. Listed here are some of the different types of
three phase presses available to work with metal:
| Hydraulic press |
Pneumatic press |
| Knuckle joint press |
Hammer press |
| Rack and Pinion press |
Fine blanking press |
| Servo press |
Screw or fly press |
The three phase press is
designed to operate with three phase power. To do this, the single phase
power source must be converted to three phase power. A system
called a true three phase converter can achieve this process. The phase
converter uses it's own motor to generate that third, high leg of power.
It then passes on the other two legs of power that is provided by the
single phase power source. This single unit phase converter is now
giving the three phase press a continuous, reliable source of
three phase power. Always make sure that the three phase converter has
it's own 3-phase generator with power factor correction. This
ensures that you are getting true three phase power and not just
start-up three phase power.
A reliable company on the market
today for phase converters is ACE
Phase
Converter. They have been providing true three phase
solutions to customers, worldwide, for over 25 years. This company has
perfected the phase converter for today's industry. When you use an ACE
Phase Converter, you are getting three phase power better than you would
be getting from a generating power plant. All of your three phase
equipment, like the three phase press, will be operating for
years to come when you contact ACE Phase Converter for your true three
phase power solutions.
