Three Phase Projector
The three phase projector can be used to show still pictures or also movie pictures. A three phase projector that shows movies will move the film along a path so that each frame of the film is stopped merely for a fraction of a second during the time it is in front of the light source. Once this light leaves the lamphouse, it enters the three phase projector and is interrupted by the shutter. The shutters job is block paths of light as it comes to a certain point in it's revolution. The light is then passed onto an aperture gate on the three phase projector. It blocks out any light that you don't want illuminated onto the screen. Once this is completed, the light will pass through the film and into the main lens. It will now go through a viewport and will travel to the screen that you are watching. This is how the three phase projector works.
