Three Phase Refr. Box
The three phase refr. box is contained with 5 basic parts such as the compressor, expansion valve, heat exchanging pipes that are outside of the unit, heat exchanging pipes that are inside the unit and the refrigerant. The compressor is used to compress the refrigerant. Once this is done, the refrigerant's pressure is raised along with the temperature. The heat exchanging coils on the outside of the three phase refr. box allow the refrigerant to dissipate the pressurization of heat. Once the refrigerant cools in the three phase refr. box, it is condensed into a liquid form and will now flow through the expansion valve. When it flows through the expansion valve, the refrigerant moves from a high pressure zone to a low pressure zone, which means it expands and evaporates. When this happens, the refrigerant absorbs the heat and becomes cold. The heat exchanging pipes on the inside of the three phase refr. box allow the refrigerant to absorb the heat which makes the inside of the three phase refr. box to become very cold. Once this cycle has completed, it starts back up again keeping the inside of the three phase refr. box to a controlled cold temperature. It is always a continuous cycle. The three phase refr. box is used in many different applications and they come in many different sizes and designs. Florist shops use them to keep their flowers fresh and cool and many grocery stores used them to display and keep foods that are perishable cold. Many industrial factories use the three phase refr. box to keep materials cold along with laboratories that use them to keep blood and other materials cold. The three phase refr. box can be a designed to look like a box or a unit with glass doors as seen in a florist shop or the grocery store. Sometimes the three phase refr. box can also be a walk-in design. Regardless of what type of three phase refr. box you have, they should be operated with three phase power. You could have the utility company come out and install three phase power for you, but the cost is extremely high to do this. A good alternative to achieve the same three phase power that the utility company can provide, is to purchase a three phase converter. A three phase converter is a device that basically produces three phase power from the single phase power load. The three phase converter allows three phase equipment such as the three phase refr. box to run smoothly because of the constant flow of power. It has three circuits that are used to carry three currents that alternate which are all of the same frequency. These alternating currents will reach instantaneous peak values at three different times. Since each current in the three phase converter carries electrical current that operates in three different phases, a constant flow of electricity is achieved. A true three phase converter will always have a 3-phase generator with power factor correction. A smoother form of power is now operating the three phase refr. box which eliminates any overheating or breakdown. Finding a good quality manufacturer of a three phase converter can be very difficult but ACE Phase Converter has been given a 5-star rating with their true three phase converters.
